We are our own
first customer.

Cloud Orchestrator was not built as a product and then tested on customers. It was built to power a real commercial public cloud โ€” and that is how Stakater Cloud was born.

The origin

We needed to run a public cloud.
Nothing existed. So we built it.

Stakater has been running managed Kubernetes for customers for over a decade. At some point, operating OpenShift for multiple customers manually โ€” provisioning, isolation, policy enforcement, billing โ€” hit a ceiling. We needed the commercial layer above OpenShift, and nothing on the market delivered it.

So we built Cloud Orchestrator and used it to launch Stakater Cloud โ€” a commercial public cloud. On top of it we sell OSaaS (OpenShift as a Service) and Stakater KubeStack+, our managed services offering. Every paying customer on Stakater Cloud is consuming services delivered and managed by Cloud Orchestrator.

That is what drinking your own champagne means to us. We did not test this on a demo environment โ€” we staked a commercial cloud business on it.

The problem

Stakater was managing OpenShift for multiple enterprise customers manually โ€” provisioning, isolation, policy enforcement, billing. Every new customer added operational load. It did not scale.

๐Ÿ”ง

What was built

Cloud Orchestrator was built as the commercial layer above OpenShift. It powers Stakater Cloud โ€” a public cloud from which Stakater sells OSaaS (OpenShift as a Service) and Stakater KubeStack+, a fully managed Kubernetes service.

โœ…

The result

Stakater Cloud has been running in production for over two years. Customers self-serve. Policies are enforced automatically. Billing is data-driven. Launching new customers is a matter of minutes, not weeks.

Product 1

OSaaS โ€” OpenShift as a Service

Dedicated managed OpenShift clusters for enterprise customers, self-served and billed through Cloud Orchestrator.

Product 2

Stakater KubeStack+

Fully managed Kubernetes with Stakater's opinionated platform stack โ€” delivered as a managed service on top of Stakater Cloud.

What Stakater Cloud runs on Cloud Orchestrator today

โœ“ Self-service tenant portal
โœ“ Hard multi-tenant isolation
โœ“ Automatic policy enforcement
โœ“ Consumption metering per tenant
โœ“ OpenBao secrets per tenant
โœ“ RBAC with identity integration
โœ“ Full audit trail
โœ“ Service catalog with tiers
โœ“ Chargeback reporting

What this means for you

You are not a test case.
We already ran that test.

๐Ÿ”

Battle-tested, not beta

Every feature in Cloud Orchestrator has been running under real operational load in Stakater Cloud. Bugs surface in our environment before they reach yours.

๐Ÿ“ฃ

We feel every outage

When something breaks, it breaks for us first. That is a different kind of incentive than a vendor who only hears about problems from support tickets.

The roadmap is honest

Features on the roadmap are things we need too. If we are building something, it is because Stakater Cloud needs it โ€” not because it looks good on a slide.

What's next

Early customer conversations are open.

We are in active discussions with CSPs, telcos, and regulated enterprises. If you are evaluating Cloud Orchestrator, you will be working directly with the team that built and operates it โ€” not a sales layer.

Want to see it running?

We can show you Stakater Cloud โ€” powered by Cloud Orchestrator โ€” running live. Not a demo environment. The real thing.
